scholars in Merrimack, New Hampshire. \u00a0Situated on a colonial-era farm, the College strives to preserve traditional Catholic higher education and the canon of Western civilization.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas More offers one liberal arts degree with an integrated, four-year core curriculum including a very impressive seven Catholic theology courses and five philosophy courses. Also distinctive are the courses in both Latin and Greek, courses in Natural History and Modern Scientific Thinking that emphasize the scientific elements of liberal education, and the College\u2019s \u201cCatholic guilds,\u201d in which students study sacred art, sacred music, folk music, woodworking, and gardening with the guidance of master craftsmen. All sophomores study in Rome for one semester, residing at the Villa Magnolia which is less than a half-hour&#8217;s walk from the Vatican.<\/p>\n<p>All professors are Catholic, take the Oath of Fidelity, and make the Catholic Profession of Faith, and all theology professors have a <em>mandatum<\/em> from the local bishop. Nearly all students are Catholic. Classes are scheduled around daily Masses, including Extraordinary Form once a week. There are frequent Confession opportunities, nightly recitation of the Rosary, and chanted morning and evening prayer.<\/p>\n<p>All student residence halls are single-sex with no opposite-sex visitation to private rooms, and there is a nighttime curfew. Campus activities include dances, concerts, and intramural sports, and students are just 45 minutes from Boston or an hour from hiking in the White Mountains.<\/p>\n<p>The Thomas More College of Liberal Arts has one of the lowest net prices among colleges recognized in The Newman Guide.
